About Morxavelintaq

Morxavelintaq is an independent educational website that explains mortgages and home loans for people in the United States. We started it because the mortgage process is full of acronyms, deadlines and fine print, and most buyers meet it for the first time when the stakes are highest.

What we cover

Our guides cover six areas: home buying basics, loan types, rates and closing costs, refinancing, credit and qualifying, and home equity and payoff. Each guide is written for a specific question a real borrower asks, such as how to drop private mortgage insurance or how long underwriting takes.

Who writes our guides

Guides are produced by the Morxavelintaq Editorial Team. We research each topic using primary sources: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of Veterans Affairs, the USDA, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and the published selling guides of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. You can read exactly how we work in our editorial policy.

What we are not

We are not a lender, mortgage broker, real estate brokerage, or financial advisor. We don't take loan applications, sell your information to lenders, or receive a fee when you choose a particular loan. The site is supported by display advertising, and advertisers have no say over what we write.
